Quick Fixes
-
Microphone not working?
Go to Settings → AwareFlow → Microphone and make sure it's enabled. Then fully quit and relaunch the app. -
Detection doesn't seem accurate?
Try adjusting the sensitivity slider in the app (Settings → Detection → Sensitivity). Lower sensitivity means fewer false positives; higher sensitivity catches more subtle sounds. Accuracy improves as the app learns your environment. -
Notifications missing?
Check Settings → Notifications → AwareFlow and ensure Allow Notifications is on. Verify your Focus modes and Do Not Disturb aren't muting alerts. -
Worried about audio privacy?
All detection runs on-device using Apple's machine learning frameworks. No audio is ever recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. For full details, read the Privacy Policy and Confidentiality.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How do I start and stop detection?
Open the Detect tab and tap the large button to start listening. Tap again to stop. You can also adjust detection settings in More → Settings → Detection. -
What habits can AwareFlow detect?
AwareFlow currently detects sniffing and throat clearing using custom-trained machine learning classifiers. Additional habits — including pen clicking, loud chewing, sighing, and foot tapping — are in development. -
How do notifications and nudges work?
When AwareFlow detects a habit, it can send a gentle notification or haptic vibration — visible only to you. You can adjust notification preferences in the app settings, including sensitivity level and muting during specific times. -
How is my data stored?
All detection happens on-device. Your session data, reflections, and settings live on your device. No raw audio is ever recorded or transmitted. See the Privacy Policy for details. -
Does AwareFlow work with AirPods or Bluetooth headsets?
Yes. AwareFlow supports multiple audio inputs including your built-in microphone, AirPods, and other Bluetooth devices. You can select your preferred input source in Settings → Detection → Audio Source. -
What does the sensitivity slider do?
The sensitivity slider adjusts how easily AwareFlow triggers a detection. Lower sensitivity reduces false positives (good for noisy environments). Higher sensitivity catches more subtle sounds (good for quiet settings). You can change it anytime.
